Cage-free Improv!

It's the last Friday of April already! No time for silliness, this update is short, sweet, and to the point.

Get to SoDo Theatre THIS FRIDAY night for some long-form improv fun at the Zoo.

It’s a prom for everyone who enjoys improv, dancing, and sporting your snazziest (or tackiest) threads.

  • Saturday, May 5, at SoDo Theatre, 114 S. Neil St., Champaign. Doors open at 8:00 pm.
  • Admission is $10 per person, $8 for those in prom attire. That's a really cheap prom.

Improv Prom 2!


Zoo Improv presents the second Improv Prom!
It’s a prom for everyone who enjoys improv, dancing, and sporting your snazziest (or tackiest) threads.

Play in the Punch Bowl
Anyone that wishes can put their name in the punchbowl to enter a pool of improvisers. Participants will be teamed up with other improvisers by drawing.
Team drawings will be held hourly at approximately 9:00 pm, 10:00 pm, & 11:00 pm.

Promworthy Music & Refreshments
Pop tunes from any decade, and plenty of dancing under the lights.

Cinco de Mayo themed treats and drinks will be available.

Photos in Your Fancy Threads
Dress for the decade of your choice. Get your picture taken in front of an authentically gaudy backdrop.

It’s a Fundraiser
Proceeds from Improv Prom go to support the production of the 4th Annual CU Improv Festival!

When & Where
This awesome social event will be held on Saturday, May 5, at SoDo Theatre, 114 S. Neil St., Champaign. Doors open at 8:00 pm.

The first Improv Prom was a hit! Three hilarious and well-dressed teams composed of a mix of improv novices and veterans took the stage throughout the night. The evening was a blast for everyone involved!
