Rachel Schiff, classical guitarist "bio below", will be appearing at my
gallery, Indi Go , on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 7 and 9pm. Each performance
will be approximately 30-40 minutes in length and will feature works that
will be performed at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy in late
July.
Thursday July 2nd, Ryan Groff, of Elsinore, will be a guest performer for
both shows and will accompany Rachel vocally on an additional featured song.
Ryan has trained in classical voice performance.
Wine will be available for purchase by the glass. Show is sponsored by

Rachel Schiff has been studying the classical guitar for over fifteen years.
She has recently completed her Bachelors degree at Northwestern University
and will return in the fall to complete her Masters degree in Guitar
Performance under the guidance of Anne Waller. Rachel has played in master
classes with prominent guitar figures such as Oscar Ghiglia, Raphaella
Smits, Dale Kavanagh, Shinichi Fukuda, and David Russell. Rachel has
received numerous awards including first place in the University of
Illinois' Sigma Alpha Iota Solo Competition as well as receiving high honors
in the National Honors Society Classical Guitar Contest. Additionally, she
has performed in several theater productions including Twelfth Night and A
Midwinter's Tale.
This summer, Rachel will travel to Europe to attend the Accademia Musicale
Chigiana in Siena, Italy and the 18th International Guitar Symposium in
Iserlohn, Germany
