Come see improv every Friday night at SoDo Theatre at 8 pm with interactive family friendly shows the last Friday of every month at 7 pm. SoDo Theatre is located at 111 S. Walnut St., Champaign. Admission is $5. Ask for our punch card and get your fifth show free! Zoo is now accepting credit and debit cards at the door. Yay, technology!!

Extra Special Guest Workshop Event!!

Zoo Improv is hosting traveling improv duo From Justin to Kelly on Wednesday, June 3, at SoDo Theatre.

Improv Workshop - The Most Important Moment of Your Life, 6-8 pm, $15

The most important moment of your life is happening between you and your scene partner right now. When we approach our scene work with that present-tense mindset, beautiful things can (and will!) happen. This workshop is geared towards helping intermediate/advanced improvisers focus on making offers that keep the scene in the here and now. We’ll teach you how to do just that – to take your time at the top of the scene, trust your initial choices, and establish the sorts of meaningful, emotional connections that will lead to more satisfying and fulfilling scenes. Suitable for improvisers with little experience to much experience.

Catch their performance at 8:30 pm that same night. Admission $5.

Classes!

Learn to improvise. The benefits of receiving training in improv stretch far beyond comedy on stage. Try it for yourself. Or give classes to someone as a gift.

Drop in classes are suitable for beginners and experienced improvisers and will be back after this next round of sessions.

8 week session: Improv Basics

This 8 week class is ideal for beginning improvisers or people with limited experience. This session includes 8 weeks of classes with the option to perform at the end. Students enrolled in Improv Basics get free admission to all Friday night shows.

8 week session: Improv Basics for Teens
