Cowboy Monkey Benefit Performance Supports "Hearts for Haiti"

We’re back at the Cowboy Monkey for 1st Thursday benefit shows. Proceeds from these performances will go to benefit charity. Zoo Improv brings you a live, one-of-a-kind, improvisational comedy performance to the stage at Cowboy Monkey. We use your suggestions to roll out the laughs.

This month's admission will be contributed to the funds being raised at the "Hearts for Haiti" event scheduled for Saturday, March 6. Although we won't be at that event, we thought we'd chip in with our Thursday show!

Come out to Cowboy Monkey for some laughs and support an important cause!

Thursday, March 4 @ The Cowboy Monkey, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  Admission $4

Improv Afternoon at the Independent Media Center

It’s a rare opportunity to catch the Zoo show during daylight hours! Head over to the IMC in Urbana to be part of an afternoon of laughs. If you haven’t been over to check out the IMC in the old post office on Broadway in Urbana, it’s a must see. We’ll be on the stage in the main space, enjoying the awesome sound system, kicking off the show shortly after 3:00 pm.

Saturday, March 6 @ The Independent Media Center, 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Admission $5.

PajamaProv at the Iron Post

We’re up close and high energy! Our Wednesday performance at the Iron Post offers nearly two hours of mixed short games and long form improv comedy! That’s a lot of Zoo for your buck! Come early to get a seat.

We’ve been aching to do this show and we’ve decided that it’s finally time for… PAJAMAS!! This month’s Iron Post Improv theme is Pajamas! We’ll be wearing our pajamas; wear your pajamas and get half off your admission. That’s right! We want you to wear your pajamas to the BAR! We’ll see you there!

(BTW: this month’s Iron Post show is a change from the usual 3rd Wednesday – this is a one-time switch to the 4th Wednesday.)

Wednesday, March 24 @ The Iron Post, 8:00 p.m. Admission $4

All proceeds from admission will go to benefit The Prompting Theater as they raise money to travel to Chicago for their performance in the Rhino Theatre Festival on Saturday, February 6th!!   The Prompting Theater is a local CU theater company comprised of adult actors with developmental disabilities.  They demonstrate through their art that a disability doesn't imply an inability. The Prompting Theatre has been working, playing, and performing in Champaign-Urbana for 15 years, and they are VERY excited to take the show on the road to Chicago.
