May 3 Quick Update

Hey, all!  We just wanted to send you a reminder that there is no improv show tonight because of an alternate booking at SoDo.

Next Friday, May 10, from 8 - 11 pm will be our Anniversary party at SoDo.  There will be improv AND dancing and mixing and socializing.  Anyone that wishes to improvise is invited to toss their name into the punch bowl to be drawn out for a few mini improv sets throughout the night, punctuated by dancing under the colorful lights of the SoDo stage.  We encourage guests to take this opportunity to dress up in your favorite fancy, glitzy, or gaudy formal wear including, but not limited to garish bridesmaids dresses, 80's prom dresses, and old marching band uniforms.  This is your chance to purchase that special item or dig it out of the closet and show it off!  So grab a date or friend or group of friends to make this bash a blast!

Limited light snacks by Piato and a cash bar provided by Minneci's will be available for this special occasion.  Admission is $5.

Fuzzy Furidays All Spring!

Spring has officially arrived! In honor of the glorious vernal equinox we'll continue improv comedy nearly every Friday night at SoDo Theatre. Most shows start at 8 pm but this week (the 29th) we have a special late show starting at 10 pm.  Updates on the schedule of guests and special groups performing with Zoo Improv will be available here and on our Facebook event "Fuzzy Furidays."

Friday, May 10, 8:00 pm: We're planning a little something extra for Zoo's 8th anniversary.  Make sure to put that one in your calendar!

Workshops!

Beginning Improv:  Zoo will be offering an 8 week beginning improv class starting April 18 on Thursdays, 7 - 9 pm at SoDo Theatre.  This session will focus on introductory improvisational skills.  It is ideal for individuals ages 17 - 117 that have very little or no prior experience with improvisational performing.  The class fee is $80.

Musical Improv with Rick & Laura Hall:  On July 13, Laura and Rick Hall will be returning for a second music workshop at SoDo Theatre! We had so much fun last September, we couldn't wait to get them back!!  This workshop will run 3:00 - 6:30 pm and is open to the public.  This workshop is recommended for intermediate to advanced improvisers or improvisers that attended the Halls' workshop last September.  The workshop fee is $30.
